The original collaboration with 50 Cent came about when Soulja Boy was showing off his collection of DeAndre Way beats to the New York rapper. He explained to Billboard magazine: “I played 50 the album and he was like, ‘Next… next… next…’. And ‘Mean Mug’ came on and he was like, ‘Oh wait, what’s that? Whoa, that’s the one! I have to get on that one.’ That’s ‘Mean Mug.'”
“I heard it and had to get on it though.” says K.Le DaVincci “It may not be an official remix. However, somebody approved it like an official remix and its been like that for years. One thing about Soulja, he stay watching the internet, so even though we haven’t met, I know he knows about this track. Fasho.”
